LPL Expands Model Wealth Portfolios Platform With Fortigent Offerings

LPL Financial had added four new portfolios to its Model Wealth Portfolios platform, including two from LPL Financial Research and two alternative investment offerings from Fortigent. The fee-based platform now provides access to: The Quad-Core Balanced and Quad-Core Income portfolios from LPL Financial Research. The balanced portfolio seeks to replicate the performance of core bonds while generating more income, while the income portfolio seeks to deliver the return of a traditional 60/40 stock-bond portfolio with “little or no sensitivity to rising interest rates,” LPL said. The Alternative Strategies and Alternative Strategies – Enhanced portfolios from Fortigent. These try and achieve the performance of a traditional equities/fixed income portfolio but with lower volatility, more capital preservation and lower correlation with other asset classes. “In this volatile environment, advisors and their clients are looking for strategies that offer the potential for consistent returns along with attractive risk characteristics and diversification benefits,” said Scott Welch, senior managing director, investment research and strategy at Fortigent.
